Growth Groups
January 1, 2012 in Highlights by The Experience
A Growth Group consists of 8 – 16 people who meet weekly to either connect, share, study, or support one another in a topic that meets a personal need. Growth Groups are an encouraging time to connect with God, friends, and in most cases, the community through acts of kindness.
Most groups have one leader (or facilitator), while some groups are lead by two co-leaders. An average meeting lasts for about an hour to an hour and a half. We leave it up to each individual or couple to determine how they will take care of childcare. If you need ideas, see your Growth Group leader for more options.
Growth Groups run in 10 to 13 week cycles. At the end of each cycle, you will have the choice of staying in the same group (with some of your new friends), trying a new group, leading a group in your neighborhood or taking a break during the following cycle.
There are three (3) EASY ways to sign up:
- The EASIEST way is to click here right now! We will forward your information to the Growth Group leader and they will contact you with more details about the group.
- Use the communication cards in the baskets at your table on Saturday morning. As you fill out your card, simply indicate which group you are signing up for using the Growth Group’s code on the Growth Group Directory. After filling out the communication card, leave it in the basket on your table and we will collect it and sign you up!
- Visit the Growth Groups table in the hallway outside of the sanctuary. There you can talk with current Growth Group leaders and get your questions answered.
Check your calendar and RESERVE YOUR SPOT NOW! All groups start the week of February 12-18. Many groups fill up fast, so don’t procrastinate and miss out on your first choice!
