Project: Haiti

In 2005, The Experience connected with the community at large and helped organize two semi-trailers loaded with clothes, water and other supplies for victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Now in 2010, the world is faced with another tragedy. On January 12, Haiti, one of the poorest countries in the world, was hit with an earthquake that has done untold damage to the capital and the whole island.

Once again The Experience is stepping in to help. This time we aren’t packing up truck loads of stuff—Haiti’s an island! Instead we’re joining together with relief organizations to make sure the people who do relief work the best can be there.

So, we’re leveraging ourselves. It isn’t about giving an offering—although you might. It’s about doing something that can generate more. Maybe you can bake some bread and sell it… maybe you can organize a garage sale and get your neighbors to donate some stuff… maybe you can take  a day to do handyman work and get donations for Haiti… maybe you’re a business owner who can give some of your proceeds to help the Haitian people….

There are so many options and ideas… It’s about what you can do to do more!

Join Project: Haiti! You can! If you need help or more ideas, email brian@livetheexperience.org or call 573-5473.
